We know that our users are privacy-counscious, which is great!

At Verifiero you own your data and we believe that you should be able to choose what to share. In order for Verifiero to work however, we need basic information about you, so that we can vouch for your realness to other parties. You upload your identification document, and we gather data from sources to assure that you’re you (e.g. biometric to match your face to the passport, checking your passport number against a database etc). 

Once you’re onboard we won’t share your data to anyone without your consent, meaning we will ask you every time with details of what data is being shared to which company, e.g. when logging in or verifying yourself somewhere. You can always see your data sharing history in our app under your pages, so you’ll have the full overview of your digital footprint that’s been made with Verifiero.

Another concern you might have is ”What if Verifiero decide to change their privacy policy and start selling my data?”. It’s a fair question, but we can guarantee that if we against our moral and all odds would do that, we would give our existing users a proper chance to delete their data and remove their account before we share or sell any data. It will be transparent and clear, but again - it’s unlikely to happen!

  • Verifiero AB (“Verifiero”) provides a service for secure and privacy-conscious identification. You as a private person own your own personal data and should be able to choose what you want to share. To be able to use the service, you need to enter certain basic information in the Verifiero app such as passport / ID card / driver's license, e-mail address, etc. The purpose of the service is that the party requesting identification should only be allowed access to personal information that is relevant for the provision of the service in question.

    This Privacy Policy applies to anyone who uses Verifiero's services, or who otherwise contacts us via our digital channels. Here, Verifiero describes its personal data processing and the rights you have under the current personal data legislation.

    Verifiero processes your personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and applicable national law. Verifiero is responsible for the processing of your personal data in the service provided. You are always welcome to contact us with any questions about this policy or other issues related to data protection. You will find our contact information at the bottom of this policy.

  • Personal data is information that can be directly or indirectly attributed to a living natural person. Examples of such information are social security numbers, personal e-mail addresses, telephone numbers and the like, but even encrypted information can constitute personal information if it can be linked to natural persons. All data that can identify a natural person's physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural and / or social identity are personal data.

  • Processing refers to any act that is performed with a personal data. It can be anything from collection and storage, to modification, use or deletion.

  • Information that you provide to us

    We process personal data that you provide to us in connection with you joining or otherwise using our service. We also collect personal information in connection with you contacting us, for example with questions about our service, via our digital channels such as contact forms, e-mail or telephone.

    Data from other sources

    We may also collect personal information from someone other sources than yourself. This applies in cases where we need to verify information that you have already provided, for example to verify your passport, ID card, or information about vaccination, etc.

    The categories of personal data that we collect from sources other than yourself are for example:

    Identity information: Verification of passport or other identity document via our subcontractor Zignsec.

    Biometric data: face recognition via your mobile camera.

    Website

    The site pulls some objects and fonts from third party sites, not just Squarespace which is the platform. Examples of such third-party sources are cdn.conveythis.com, fonts.gstatic.com and when these are loaded into a visitor's browser, the visitor's IP address will be displayed to the third party.

  • We process your personal data in order to provide and administer our services. We may also process your personal data in order to safeguard our own legal interests in the exercise of an Authority.

  • In order to process your personal data, a legal basis for this is required. Verifiero processes personal data on the following legal basis:

    Once you have given your consent for the treatment. Then the processing is necessary for us to be able to fulfill an agreement we have with you, for example the provision of our service.

    When the processing is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation.

    When we have a legitimate interest in processing your personal data, for example to be able to answer questions you have sent to us.

  • Your personal data is only processed for as long as it is required for the purposes for which it was collected, for example as long as you are connected to and use our service. Your personal information is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer relevant for the purposes for which it was collected.

  • The purpose of Verifiero's service is for you as a user to own your own data and be able to choose which information is shared with a given player. The service is operated entirely in Verifiero's own environment, so we do not share your personal information contained in the service with anyone else without your expressed consent, except when we initially have to verify your information.

    Verification of passports and other ID cards takes place through face recognition provided by ZignSec AB. This Company then processes your personal data as a data processor to Verifiero, which means that they process the personal data on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions. ZignSec AB has no right to independently process the personal data processed in the data processor relationship.

    Personal data collected for purposes other than the provision of the service (for example, inquiries that you send to us by e-mail) may be shared with our service providers. In these cases, our service providers act as data processors and may only process your personal data in accordance with our instructions.

    We may also share your personal information if this is the result of law or the exercise of authority.

  • As a starting point, your personal data is processed within the EU. In the event that we use service providers who transfer your personal data to countries outside the EU and the EEA, we will take measures to protect your personal data in accordance with applicable legal requirements, for example by requiring guarantees that the provider protects the data in accordance with applicable data protection rules.

  • Correction and access to your personal information

    As a registered user, you have the right to request correction of incorrect information or change the personal information you have provided at any time. You also have the right to take part in what personal information we have registered about you. This information will be available and accessible in your Verifiero app.

    Withdraw consent with future effect

    If we process your personal data on the legal basis of consent, you have the right to withdraw your continued consent regarding future processing at any time. In practical terms, this means that you do not give any more consent through Verifiero's service. Consents already given while using the service cannot be revoked by Verifiero unless you, who have given your consent, turn to the company where you have identified yourself with Verifiero's service and ask to make a revocation.

    Deletion

    In certain circumstances, you have the right to have your personal data deleted. However, this does not apply if, for example, we are obliged by law to preserve the information. If you want to delete your account, you can contact our customer service info@verifiero.com

    Data portability

    In the event that you wish to transfer your information from us, you also have the right to receive a copy of the personal information concerning you collected in a structured, machine-readable format (right to data portability). This right only covers information that you yourself have shared with us. Contact our customer service info @ verifiero for this service.

  • Children have the right to protection when using information society services, and verified age checks may restrict unwanted access to services intended for children. Children's information is extra worthy of protection and Verifiero provides children with information about what the service entails and improves permanent information, controls and protective measures adapted for children as well as guardians' opportunities to give consent and manage the service for their children.

    Verifiero is available for children who are eight years old and older with the guardian's consent to the processing of children's personal data. Children from the age of 13 until the age of majority may give their own consent depending on current data protection legislation (e.g GDPR, COPPA and other local legislations).   • Verifiero uses cookies on it´s website and app in order to provide certain features of the service. Cookies are small textfiles that a website is placing or demands access to via the users computer or mobile device.

    There are two types of cookies;
    Permanent cookies, that is stored on the users unit during a fixed time and is thereafter deleted.

    Session cookies, that is stored temporarily in the memory of the unit during the visit on the website and is being erased when the visitor is closing the web browser.

    Cookies are either: a first party cookie placed by the responsible company or third party cookie that is being placed by another company. Verifiero is not using or allowing any third party cookies on it´s website.

    You as a user can adjust the use of cookies in your web browser, by not allowing or demand removal of cookies. Use your web browsers help fuction on this topic for more information. If you choose not to allow cookies, it is possible that access, browsing or functions will not work as expected.

    Cookies has different purposes and can be divided into different categories after their respective purpose:
